In 2006, SONSHINE GLOBAL PARTNERS was founded on the basis of agricultural development and medical outreach for foreign communities who were affected by the AIDS Epidemic.

We are “impacting Africa through the Malku Institute of Technology” by funding classroom programs, demonstration farms, and community outreach projects.

The facility comprises a Training Room Block with space for 72 trainees, an adjoining Administration Office, and accessible restrooms, all designed for light, functionality, and inclusivity. A flexible Dining and Kitchen Area seats 120 and includes semi-enclosed verandahs, a spacious kitchen, and storage. Staff are housed in 8 self-contained units positioned for easy trainee supervision. Both Boys’ and Girls’ Residences accommodate 30 trainees each, with well-organized sleeping quarters, storage, outdoor laundry areas, and full sanitation facilities. The overall design emphasizes accessibility, natural lighting, and efficient space use.
HEEP is a faith-based initiative of Sonshine Global Partners committed to the holistic transformation of under-resourced communities. Grounded in Christian values, HEEP delivers programs that empower people spiritually, economically, and socially. From education and leadership training to business incubation and wellness, HEEP integrates key life areas to bring sustainable change.

Malku Institute of Technology Ghana Campus is registered as a Ghanaian Educational Corporation. We are registered with the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training .
Malku is now developing the 100-acre site we acquired in Kijuya, Mubende, Uganda.
We are establishing a Farming Center of Excellence and a campus for the institute.
Dr. Sharon Brown founded Sonshine Global Partners (formerly Son Shine Christian Assoc.) to channel love into action by empowering African communities. She believes in “providing practical, solution-focused education” in the fields and villages.
Sonshine primarily funds two campuses of the Malku Institute of Technology (in Ghana and Uganda) along with related humanitarian projects. The Ghana and Uganda campuses focus on “developing entrepreneurs in rural and urban communities with high quality, efficient, accessible, and affordable education”.
In practice, this means teaching agriculture, business, management and technology so that graduates can increase farm productivity and create jobs

Donors can designate their gift to a specific initiative. For example, fund the new Uganda innovation center, an on-campus farm in Uganda, classroom construction, or dormitories. Projects of any size are welcome – every dollar accelerates construction and training.
Many supporters choose to sponsor an individual student or small-holder farmer’s education. (Malku offers formal scholarship programs and “adopt a farmer” donor tracks.)
